LUTZE, Mary Lou (Glesenkamp) – of Davison, MI, age 80, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2:30 PM Friday, April 19, 2024 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 East Mount Morris Road, Otisville, MI 48463; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. The family will welcome visitors 12:30-2:30 PM Friday, April 19, 2024 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richfield Church of the Nazarene or Flint Eastside Mission, in Mary Lou's memory.
Mary Lou was born in Flint, MI on February 14, 1944, daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Williams) Glesenkamp. She was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1962. On April 12, 1963, Mary Lou married Roger Lutze in Davison, MI at Richfield Church of the Nazarene. For four decades, Mary Lou illuminated the hearts and minds of countless individuals through her dedicated teaching of Bible Studies. From the comfort of her home, she welcomed people of all ages, imparting wisdom and guidance with grace. Her teachings were not just lessons in scripture but also beacons of hope, inspiring spiritual growth and fostering a deeper connection to God for generations to come. As a devoted member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene for 29 years, Mary Lou's presence was felt far beyond the walls of the sanctuary. Her unwavering commitment to her faith and her community enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether offering a comforting word or lending a helping hand, Mary Lou touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on the world around her. Mary Lou will be fondly remembered for her unwavering devotion to her faith.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband, Roger Lutze; daughter, Holly (Bruce) Richardson; 2 grandchildren, Chantel (Austin) Krause and Kent (Torri) Lawrence; 5 great-grandchildren, Keaton, Vivian, Ezra, Rachel and Esther; brother, Thomas (Sandi) Glesenkamp; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Glesenkamp; son, Guy T. Lutze; 2 siblings, Marlene VanWormer and John Glesenkamp.
