Mary Theresa Marshall passed away on December 9, 2025, at Agrace in Fitchburg, Wisconsin after a short battle with lung cancer. Mary was born on November 1, 1938 in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada where she attended school at the St. John’s Convent. She met and married her husband, Willard, who was stationed there with the USAF, in 1958 and they moved to Lone Rock, Wisconsin to begin their life together in the states where Mary would soon proudly gain her US citizenship. Mary enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom until the family moved to Oregon, Wisconsin in 1973 and she began working at Wisco Industries until her retirement in 2001. Wisco was where she would end up meeting her best and lifelong friends, Diane Kinney and Yvonne Marshall. The highlight of Mary’s life was the birth of her grandchildren beginning with Amie in 1989, Lauren in 1990, and Erin in 1992. Her life was centered around her family, whom she loved very much. Another special gift in Mary’s life was the birth of her great-granddaughter, Miller Rose, in 2024, and she was so happy to be able to travel to Fort Worth, Texas last year to meet and spend time with her along with her daughter Sue and granddaughter Lauren. Mary enjoyed her trips to the casino with family and spending time with her friends at Country View Apartments in Waunakee, Wisconsin where she resided for the last nine years. Mary is survived by her daughter Sue (Lyle) Nichelson, daughter Sharon Marshall (Jim), granddaughter Amie Kjellstrom, granddaughter Lauren (Conner) Haley, great granddaughter Miller Rose Haley, sisters Marg Chiasson, Faye Fremin, and Sheila Wensley, brother Dave and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard, granddaughter Erin Kjellstrom, brothers Paddy, Leo Jr., Gerald, Doug, sisters Joan and infant sister Elizabeth. Mary will always be remembered for her friendly smile and someone who cared so much for those around her.
