Mary McCoy Obituary Mary C. (Blondheim) McCoy, 84, of Quaker City, passed away Tuesday (May 13, 2025) at her home.
She was born August 23, 1940 in West Virginia, daughter of the late Rondel Blondheim and Margaret Jane (Burke) Blondheim.
In her younger years, Mary had worked as a waitress at various restaurants. Later, she became an independent aide for the elderly for about ten years.
Mary loved camping, fishing, playing bingo, shopping, and going to Wheeling. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McCoy, who passed away April 22, 2022. They were married June 19, 1971. Also deceased are two daughters, Veronica Devereux and Roberta Miller; a son, Donald Devereux; a sister, Rondella Bond; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Devereux.
Mary is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Thericia) Devereux and P.J. Devereux; two daughters, Mary Devereux and Ramona (Robert) Schoolcraft; a brother, Phelix J. (Donna) Blondheim of Canton; twenty-two grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday (May 19, 2025) from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 5:30 with Pastor Brian Hollis officiating.
