Mary McPeck, 91, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on September 12, 2025.
Mary was born on January 28, 1934, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George and Voneda Thomas. She devoted her life to caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She enjoyed cooking, tending to her household, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. She loved her lottery tickets, yard sales, watching Days of Our Lives, and Hallmark Christmas movies. She was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene in South Zanesville. Above all, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose presence will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Cam) McPeck, Carolyn (Jeffrey) Page, David McPeck, Rodney (Leaninne) McPeck, Danny (Bonnie) McPeck, Michael (Lois) McPeck, Molly Thomas, Gary McPeck, and Mindy Miller; her grandchildren, Nissa (Michael) Bennett, Greg McPeck, Steve (Elizabeth) McPeck, Cory McPeck, Chris Page, Brooke Page, Adam (Julie) Page, Joe McPeck, Kim (Dean) Wallace, Lannette McPeck Gandee, Tonya (Mike) Moore, Teresa McPeck, Amanda McPeck, Doug (Amy) McPeck, Brian (Brooke) McPeck, Andy McPeck, Alan McPeck, Eric (Robert) McPeck, Nick Thomas, Ashley (Justin) Lee, Jessie (Korey) Keplinger, and Josh (Olivia) Miller; 40 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Margaret Grubaugh and Thelma Ross; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ramon McPeck, who passed away on November 1, 2010; her daughter, Janet McPeck; son-in-law, Rusty Thomas; great-grandson, Kingston Bradburn; brothers Charles Thomas, Robert (Elizabeth) Thomas, George Thomas, James Thomas, and Frank Thomas; and sisters Virginia Thomas, Betty Shepherd, Edith Webb, and Ruth Barnett.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rick Tanner officiating. Mary will be laid to rest beside Ramon in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
