It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Regina "Gina" Mitchell, of Jennings, who passed away peacefully on April 6, 2005, at the age of 74.
Gina was a beloved, wife, Shmammy, Momo GG, sister and friend. She had a huge heart and greeted everyone with a smile and a hug. She was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She dedicated many years to working at Walmart in Jennings. She enjoyed playing bingo and putting puzzles together with her friends at Camelot Brookside. She cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Heather Hill, Kylie Mitchell (Jared Clay), stepsons Ronald (Martha) Mitchell Jr., and Bryan (Sabrina) Mitchell. Gina leaves behind a legacy of love through her 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved siblings Claudia Cormier, Dale Richard and Robert (Peggy) Fruge.
She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years Ronald Mitchell Sr., her parents Melvin "Monk" Fruge, Alice Derouen Fruge, her brother's LJ Bourque, Mike Fruge and sister Rose Marie Romero.
Funeral services led by Father Clyde Thomas will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at 12pm. Family to welcome friends beginning at 10am til time of service. Cremation has been entrusted to Simple Traditions by Johnson.
We would like to give a special thanks to Camelot Brookside and their staff as well as Lamm Home Health for their graciousness in providing the care and support for our loved one.
