Oak Ridge, Missouri – Mary Lou Cogdell Weagley Mooring, 94, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Born in Goldsboro on July 12, 1931, to the late William Edgar Cogdell and Henrietta Neal Cogdell, Mary Lou lived a life marked by creativity, faith, and devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald I. Weagley; her son, Donald A. Weagley; and her sister, Donna C. Daughtry.

For many years, Mary Lou shared her talent and love for beauty as a floral designer with Van Roekel Florist in Goldsboro. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved most-her family.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, William A. Mooring; daughters, Mary Beth Harper and husband, Keith and Claudia Lee Brock and husband, David; daughter-in-law, Linda Weagley; brother, Claude Cogdell; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
