Mary "Evelyn" (Denk) Moses, age 90, of Crafton Heights, passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 7, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Anthony "Alex" Moses. Jr. Daughter of the late Austin and Mary Denk; She was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law Rose Marie Moses and Sister Maryann Moses, and brother-in-law Joseph (the late Marilynn) Moses; loving aunt of Lisa A. Moses, J. Todd (Christine) Moses, Kathleen M. (Jeffrey) Clark, William D. (Tammi) Gerboc Jr., Jennifer R. Moses; great-aunt to Alyssa L. (David) Lopus, Alex R. Clark, William D. Gerboc III, Matthew J. Moses, Bryce A. (Kacie) Gerboc, Vanessa R. (Quinn) Borja; also survived by great-great nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a distinguished graduate of St. Philip School and a 1956 graduate of Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing. She opened and managed the first recovery room at Ohio Valley General Hospital for many years. Evelyn was an Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing alumna and coordinated and was the group leader of their social trips. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a Devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Philip Catholic Parish. She was very dedicated to her church and nursing families. Relatives and friends received Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 6-8 PM and Friday 1-3 & 6-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. Funeral prayer Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Philip Catholic Church, 50 W. Crafton Avenue, Crafton. In lieu of flowers contributions in Evelyn's memory may be made to Society of Saint Vincent de Paul at St. Philip Catholic Parish, 114 Berry Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
