MARY JANE STEELE NEALLY, age 71, of Lynchburg, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Neally was born in Gary, Indiana to the late Maurice E. Steele and Thelma L. Fortner Steele. She was employed as a dietary aide at Harton Hospital for several years. Most of the time she was a homemaker. She last attended the New Creation Church in Tullahoma, Tenn. Her hobbies were planting flowers, yard sales, concerts and anything to do outdoors. She enjoyed traveling and going to the beach and most of all being with her family. She will be remembered for her beautiful and contagious smile and silly laugh, and as a wonderful wife, mother and "Mal-Mal".
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie, Jim and John Steele. A grandson, Zackary Ulmer and step-son, Denny Neally. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Neally of Lynchburg, Children; Shannon (Shannan) Miller of Cowan, Tenn., Wayne (Mary) Neally of Tullahoma, Jr. (Kendra)Daves of Crown Pointe, Ind. Grandchildren; Destiny Rhodes of Cowan, Caitlyn (Meridith)Dodson of Winchester, Madison Miller, Jeremy (Cheyenne) Neally of Chiago heights, Ill., Stephanie (Jimmy)Briney, and Darren (Anina)Daves all of Crown Pointe, Ind. Great-grandchildren; Oliver Rhodes, Alyssa Neally, Ava Neally, Khloe Briney, Charlotte Banks, Benny Daves and Elijah Daves.
Visitation for Mrs. Neally will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 on Monday, March 31, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, LLC.
Services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 31, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, LLC with Bro. Tim Totty and Bro. Don Burkhalter, officating.
Interment will follow in the New Center Grove Cemetery in Estill Springs, with family serving as pallbearers.
