Mary Kay Patencio

Mary Kay Patencio, beloved mother, grandmother, and longtime resident of the Coachella Valley, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, at the age of 82.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Patencio, Sr. She is survived by her three children: Theresa, Christine, and Douglas Sr. (Maricela). She is also survived by her stepchildren and twelve cherished grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
Mary Kay grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she lovingly raised her children. Forty-five years ago, she and her family moved to Palm Springs, where they found what she called "Paradise."
It was there that she met and married Ray, the love of her life. Together, they spent winters in Palm Springs and summers in Mammoth Lakes, building a life full of joy, adventure, and community. Everywhere she went, Mary Kay formed lasting friendships and created treasured memories.
A Catholic Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Palm Springs, followed by interment at the Jane Augustine Patencio Cemetery, also in Palm Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mary Kay's name to the charity of your choice.
Mary Kay's deep love for her family and friends will be profoundly missed. She will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
