Mary Elizabeth Carlisle Pelesky - Born November 6, 1926, to Kenneth Carlisle and Elizabeth Carlisle in Portland, Oregon. Mary died on October 18, 2025.

Mary grew up in Portland, and her favorite memories were time spent fishing with her big brother Kenny whom she always said was her best friend.

In 1956 she married Jack Pelesky. They lived and worked in Oregon and California before moving to Sheridan, WY. They had three children, Susan, Jeffrey, and James.

Mary was an artist, cook, loved wild flowers, the beach, and most of all her family. Reading was her favorite hobby. Animals, especially dogs, were also important in her life, and she hadseveral beloved pets through the years. She enjoyed traveling and especially cherished visits to Portland to visit her family which always included a trip to Canon beach.

Mary kept busy with several jobs and worked until she was 85. She ran several of her own businesses, but one of her favorite jobs was working for the Bighorn National Forest Service.

She is survived by her children Susan Storey (Michael), Jeffrey Pelesky (Lorna), James Pelesky (Barb) , Granddaughters Ann Storey, Jessica Storey, Crystal Bodell, Great grandchildren Michael Odom, Ethan Odom, and other loved ones.
