Mary Kathleen Poe, age 101 of Dandridge, passed away very peacefully at Tennova Turkey Creek on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Kathleen was a loving and caring soul that enjoyed being around friends and family, she never wanted anyone to go hungry, you could always find a meal at her house. She is one of six kids born to Buford and Florence Poe. Kathleen was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Dandridge. She is retired from Tennessee Handbags. She is preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Florence Poe, brother, J.P. Poe, sisters, Imogene Russell, Mildred Kyte and Sarah Ruth Poe and son-in-law, Ronnie Boyd. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Boyd, granddaughter, Angie Boyd Keck and her husband Kelly, great-grandchildren, Josh Keck and Sidney Keck, sister Betty Poe Franklin, also several nieces, nephews and other family members, special friends, Sandy and Bobby Mottern, LeAnn and Jeremy Sutton, Leon and Janice Roland, Fred and Bobbi Underwood, Margie Holt and Kayla Holt, special little buddies, Jackson and Mason Sutton and Zy Roland.
The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations be made to Leadvale Baptist Church, 874 Leadvale Church Road, White Pine, TN 37890. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May, 11, 2023, 7:00pm at Leadvale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church between the hours of 5:30pm and 7:00pm. Rev. Brandon Cate and Rev. Charlie Harkleroad will be officiating. Graveside Interment Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, 11:00am in Hillcrest Cemetery.
