Our precious Mother, Grandmother, Aunt Mary Elizabeth Davis Potts was awarded her heavenly wings on May 27, 2025.
Her life was filled with love for her children, grandchildren, and all she met.
She was a very talented seamstress and supported her family with her hard work.
Our memory of her sweet smile will live forever in our hearts.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George and Adgie Davis, husband, Clyde Madison Potts, brothers, Harold Davis, George Howard Davis, A.C. Davis, and Charles Davis, sisters, Mickey “Kathleen” Pittman, Helen Brewer, Lorraine Moore, and Alice Barber; and grandson, George Potts, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Moffitt (Jay) of Coleridge and Robin Clodfelter of Archdale; son, George “Tommy” Potts (Alice) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Stephanie M. Cawthorn (Brandon), Kevin Potts, Cindy C. Smith (Josh), and Matthew Clodfelter (Alexa); great grandchildren, Brittany Potts, Aaron Potts, Breanna Smith, Katie Smith, Emma Smith, Colt Smith, Millie Clodfelter, Baker Clodfelter, and Winnie Clodfelter.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Glenn “Mac” Pugh Chapel with Pastor Mark Medlin and Pastor Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
