Mary Raiche

Mary Raiche of Hanover, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, surrounded by family. She was 94.

Mary was the loving wife of Leon E. Raiche, Jr.; and daughter of the late Maritza (Mesrobian) and John Garabedian. Mary is survived by her son, Paul E. Raiche and his wife Sharyn; Granddaughters Sophia Raiche, Katherine Raiche and her partner Jeremy Bechen; great-nephew Greg Zorian, his wife Kathy and their daughters Annabelle and Samantha.

Mary was born and raised in Holbrook where she was a graduate of Holbrook High School in 1949. After high school Mary worked at Tubular Rivet and Stud in Wollaston, where the met and later married the love of her life - Leon E. Raiche, Jr. Mary and Lee settled in Norwell to raise their son Paul. In Norwell, Mary volunteered for the PTO and Cub Scouts. She and Lee were active in town, frequently working the polling stations during town and national elections.

Mary loved to travel. She, Lee and Paul would vacation every year on Lake Winnipesaukee. As Paul grew older, Mary would often accompany Lee on his business trips. In retirement they made many trips to Marco Island. Mary enjoyed gardening, reading and watching the Bruins. She and Lee had season tickets in the old Boston Garden for several years. Mary volunteered at South Shore Hospital for 30+ years and was an active lifemember of The Friends of South Shore Hospital. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren
