Mary E. Rasmussen, Felton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Milford Hospice Center, she was 59. Mary was born in Milford, DE to the late, Delbert and Grace Rogers.
Mary worked for many years as a Phlebotomist. Mary’s life centered around her profound Faith. She was a firm believer in the power of prayer, and enjoyed sharing her love of Jesus to anyone that would listen. She attended Calvary Wesleyan Church when she was able, but after her failing health, she enjoyed watching Pastor Rick Warren on TV. Her favorite activities include going shopping, gardening, and taking care of her pets, as she truly loved animals. She also enjoyed spending time in her kitchen and recently discovered how to make candied pecans, which she loved to share with her family and friends. Mary shared a close bond with her sister Cassie, whom she took care of in her home.
Mary had a dry wit about her which made her fun to be around. She liked to tease which opened her up to being teased in return and she would reply in jest, “You Varmint”. Her friendly, caring, and loving nature will forever be remembered and missed.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard “Raz” Rasmussen; siblings, Debbie Hilton, John Rogers, David Rogers, Carol Cathell, and Cassie Rogers.
