Mary Louise (Donnelly) Ratliff, age 83, of Hominy, passed from this life on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Cleveland Area Hospital. Mary was born May 30, 1942, in Cleveland, OK to John E. and Carrie Mae (Humble) Donnelly. She was raised and received her education in Cleveland. Mary was united in marriage to Dean Ratliff on May 21, 1959, in Hominy, where they made their home. Mary was a homemaker, whose greatest joy was raising her children, and teaching them about the LORD. Mary and Dean had five children - Jimmie, Kerrie, Angela, Jeana and Terry Ann. A strong believer, Mary taught children's Sunday school at the Abundant Life Church as well as to her children. Later when she and Dean started having grandchildren, she experienced the joy of helping to raise them. She was also decorating her home and enjoyed painting it, possibly several times a year.
Those who survive include her children - Jimmie Ratliff, Sr of Hominy, Kerrie Ellis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Angela Ratliff of Hominy, Jeana Settlemire of Cleveland and Terry Ann Jackson, also of Cleveland. Also surviving is a sister Frieda Hunter of Louisiana; 11 grandchildren - Jimmie, John, Michael, Mitchell, Jimmie Austin, Sabreena, Lea, Samuel, Tabitha, Bridget, Hannah, and 18 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dean, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 3 grandchildren Casey Hamilton, Matthew Williams and Drema Ellis.
Graveside services for Mary will be held Thursday, March 12th at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery with grandson John Paul Ratliff and Sonie Brown officiating. She is being laid to rest next to her husband Dean.
