Mary A. Raymer, age 85 of Roscoe, IL Formerly of Lena, IL peacefully went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The daughter of Robert and Clotine "Cookie" (Mclaine) Nobel she was born on April 7, 1940, in Lena, IL. Mary married Lowell Raymer in 1983 in Freeport, IL. She was employed by Microswitch/Honeywell for 30 Years until her retirement.
Mary was an active member of the Hope Evangelical Free Church in Roscoe, IL. She was a part of their White Cross group, helping with Quilting Projects and ALWALS group which hosted senior luncheons. She also found great joy in doing diamond art. Her and Lowell picked up ceramics together back in the 90's and throughout the years she made numerous pieces. Mary was a very social butterfly making new friends wherever life took her, there was no such thing as a stranger to her, only new opportunities to make friends.
She is survived by her two children- Jeff (Wanda) McCall of Spring Lake, NC, and Mary (Mark) Jack of Rockton, IL; 4 step-children- Lisa (Don) Wienand of Lena, IL; brothers- Todd (Alice) Raymer of Mineral Point, WI, Scot Raymer of Winslow, IL, Ken (Jen) Raymer of Lake in the Hills, IL; 4 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren and 2 step great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell in 1999, son- Delmar McCall in 1979, Stepson Bari Raymer in2021and siblings Roberta "Bobbie" Delzell and William Nobel.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 5656 Elevator Road, Roscoe, IL 61073.
Funeral Service to follow, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Hope Evangelical Free Church.
A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Burial will take place at the Lena Burial Park.
