Jacksonville - Mary Delores Vieira Read, 90, passed away August 19, 2025. Funeral services: 10:30 A.M. August 23 at Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home. Burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery. Family will meet friends 9:30-10:30 A.M. prior to the service.

We went to high school together. She honored me by being one of my bridesmaids, along with Shirley and Donna. Being out of state most of our lives, I kept up with her through Leona Werries, whom has left us as well. Thinking of her family as you say goodbye. I will remember her as long as I live and how a sweet and loving friend she was. God be with all of you.

Mrs. Read was like a second mother to me. She was always smiling and welcoming to everyone she talked too! She was an amazing mother and grandmother.
