Mary was born in Manhattan to Patrick and Mary E. Gavigan. She was the olderst of 8 children. Mary is survived by Kathleen (Cecchetelli), Thomas Gavigan, Patricia (Ellis) and Barbara (Loweree). She is predeceased by Eileen (Gallagher), James and John Gavigan. Mary married the love of her life Bill and had 3 beautiful children, JoAnn (Alfaro), Billy and Danny.
She went on to be blessed with 3 grandchildren, Charles (Alfaro), Jennifer Mary (Ferrari) and Michael Reeber. She was blessed to have 4 great grandchildren; Evan (Alfaro), Raelynn (Ferrari), Lilliana (Ferrari) and Kayliegh (Ferrari). Mary was a staple in her community. She was very active in her senior clubs. She loved to travel and was fortunate enough to be able to accomplish her life long dream of traveling to Ireland. Mary worked for many years in Create-A-Cake Bakery till the age of 85 years young. She was such a people person. She loved her casino's, betting the horses anf loved a great boxing match. She truly had a wonderful life and shared it with all of us. She will be terribly missed.
