To my friend who once had a purple bedroom
Life is a journey with a mission attached to it. Sometimes our journeys lead us away from those we love and cherish. Sometimes it has to be that way in order to fulfil our own God given missions on this earth. It doesn't mean we leave behind the days that we shared with those who mean so much to us. No. We take along with us the memories, the love, the words and thoughts, the laughter and the tears that filled our time together. They are God's gift to us given from one another. Oftentimes they help keep us going forward in our own missions in life. And then one day we receive the heartbreaking news that, with mission accomplished, our beloved one has passed from this life into the next. Mission accomplished my friend. Mission accomplished. You did well my Joyce. You did very well. We will meet again, soon enough. And when we do, we shall have tea and crumpets, knowing our lives in our Lord's Kingdom will be shared not for a few years, but for eternity.
