Mary Repinski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Jun. 24, 2025.
Mary "Joyce" Repinski (or Joyce to those who knew her because of so many "Mary's" in the family) was born in, Oak Park, IL, on November 11, 1958, to the late Dana and Mary (Adkins) McCormick. She left this world to join the Lord and the angels on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Joyce had four siblings, Dana McCormick, Blanche Bonnell, Pinkie Wood, and Audie McCormick. She married her one true love, Frank Repinski, on August 7, 1976; the best day of her life as she would say. She had three amazing children, her favorite son, John; her favorite daughters (who varied on who was the favorite) Beth and Mary; and her five wonderful grandchildren.

Joyce considered friends family. She loved her family above all else. She had visitors at her home at all hours of the day and because of this, her home was dubbed "Grand Central Station". She loved hosting famous family gatherings and the meals and love that came with them. Joyce lived a life of service to all around her. She lived to help others. Her many acts of kindness gave her a purpose in life. Joyce was a second mother and nana to so many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren which made her heart shine. She loved traveling, especially with her sisters, and going to Florida. Joyce was fortunate to visit places all around the world. She was so loved and will truly be missed by all. Although we are all mourning, she would prefer that we celebrate her life and remember the happy times and memories together.

Survivors include her husband of over 48 years, Frank Repinski; her son, John (Rhonda) Repinski; her daughters, Beth (Fred) Staub, and Mary Repinski; her grandchildren, Tyler, David, Taylor, Alexis, and Elias; and her siblings, Blanche Bonnell, Pinkie (Dexter) Wood, and Audie (Joyce) McCormick. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Dana and Mary; her brother, Dana McCormick; and her brother-in-law, Bill Bonnell.

Memorial services for Mary Joyce Repinski will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Mark Gass will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to any local charity of your choice in Joyce's name. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.

To my friend who once had a purple bedroom
Life is a journey with a mission attached to it. Sometimes our journeys lead us away from those we love and cherish. Sometimes it has to be that way in order to fulfil our own God given missions on this earth. It doesn't mean we leave behind the days that we shared with those who mean so much to us. No. We take along with us the memories, the love, the words and thoughts, the laughter and the tears that filled our time together. They are God's gift to us given from one another. Oftentimes they help keep us going forward in our own missions in life. And then one day we receive the heartbreaking news that, with mission accomplished, our beloved one has passed from this life into the next. Mission accomplished my friend. Mission accomplished. You did well my Joyce. You did very well. We will meet again, soon enough. And when we do, we shall have tea and crumpets, knowing our lives in our Lord's Kingdom will be shared not for a few years, but for eternity.
