Robert "Bob" C. Byrns, age 74, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at his home, under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. Bob was the son of Joseph and Kathleen Mock. He graduated from Appleton East High School in 1970. Bob was then drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam. He also spent many years in the Army Reserve. Bob worked at Appleton Papers, Badger Periodical, Schneider Transport, and for about 30 years, for N & M Transfer.

In 2007, he and his wife moved to Tomahawk, WI, and purchased Birkensee Campground & Bar & Grill. They enjoyed getting to know and become part of the community. Over the years, they made many friends with the neighbors and the campers. Bob spent many years playing baseball and played football in high school. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as many other outdoor activities.

Bob is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan Byrns; his daughters, Erin (Jerry) Ziegert, Mandy (Pat) Clemons, Tina (Dave) Hanson, and Haley (Rob) Ausman; his grandchildren, Allie Ziegert, Will Ziegert, and Lily Hanson; his sisters, Sandra (David) Feld and Colleen (Mark) Hansmann; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Allred. Bob is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Kay Mock; his in-laws, Glen and Dorothy Reed; and his niece, Emily Feld.

At Bob's request, there will be no formal funeral services. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
