Mary Elizabeth Riepenkroger, 72, Linn, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Linn Community Nursing Home.
Visitation was Thursday, November 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 7, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Marysville. Father Quentin Schmitz officiated. Rosemary Forst was the organist and Paula Landoll-Smith was the Cantor. Hymns included “Be Not Afraid”, “Jesus, My Lord, My God, My All”, “How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place”, “Song of Farewell”, and “Carry Me Home.”
Honorary pallbearers were Ruby Mett, Kira Mett, David Riepenkroger, Brian Riepenkroger, Aubrey Riepenkroger and Hailey Riepenkroger.
Burial followed in the Marysville City Cemetery.
Mary was born in Summerfield, KS on April 9, 1953 to Buddy Lee and Rita (Ronnebaum) Goodwin. She worked in retail sales and as a babysitter. She was fond of making Christmas lawn ornaments from wood; a project she enjoyed immensely.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, David and brother, Charles Goodwin.
Survivors include daughter, Natasha (Wolfen) Stolzer; son, David (Jessica) Riepenkroger; brother, Bob (Lana) Goodwin; sister-in-law, Marlene Goodwin; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren with one on the way.
A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.
