Mary E. Samples (Nee. Pankuch), lovingly known as Mitzie, passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 76. She was born on March 26, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John and Albeana J. (Nee. Strnad) Pankuch. Mary's journey in life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family and her zest for cherished moments.

A woman of strength and grace, Mary faced life's challenges with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love. She is now reunited with her late husband, Randall L. Samples, as they continue their eternal journey together. Mary's legacy lives on through her daughter, Deborah Pankuch, who was the light of her life.

Mary found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, and her love extended to her grandchildren: Michael Spraggins (Big Mike), Cordon Lamar (Deceased), McKayla Spraggins, Michael Spraggins Jr., Isaac F., Johnny Billingsley, and Princeton D. Each one of them carried a special place in her heart, and she embraced her role as a guiding presence in their lives.

A sister to Connie Morgan (Joseph; Deceased) and brother John Pankuch (Jodie; Girlfriend), Mary shared a deep bond with her siblings that was filled with fond memories and mutual support. Her love and care extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of her niece and nephews, Laura, Casey, and Cameron.

Later in life, Mary found solace and a deep sense of peace in her faith in God. Her spiritual journey was a source of strength and comfort, and she found immense joy in being part of a spiritual community.

In her earlier years, Mary reveled in the joy of dancing, and her graceful movements painted a picture of elegance and happiness. She had a passion for savoring the simple pleasures of life, such as dining out with her family and taking leisurely walks through the park with her beloved daughter, Deborah. Mary's infectious laughter and warm smile lit up every gathering, particularly during cherished moments spent with her family during the holidays.
