Mary Schillo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Abbey Affordable Cremation & Funeral Services on Feb. 8, 2024.
Mary Beth Schillo, 80, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024.
Mary Beth was born in San Diego, CA on May 12, 1943, to Frank and Margaret Rodack. After graduating from Crafton High School in Pittsburgh, PA in 1961, she became a flight attendant for American Airlines and traveled the country as a young woman. Years later, she returned to Texas and began her second career in Arlington as an executive assistant for Clinique Services, Inc. and eventually relocated to St. Petersburg, FL to help set up a new office there. She retired in 2011. She was blessed with two children, Kevin and Kristina.
Mary Beth loved to travel and embarked on exciting trips with her daughter to Europe and the Caribbean. She loved being in the sunshine, and the beach was where she felt most at home. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends at various social gatherings and could often be found at the pool enjoying her water aerobics classes. Mary Beth lit up a room, and there was never a lack of conversation when she was around. She took her high school title of "Most Talkative" seriously and often regaled those around her with entertaining stories from her life and adventures. Mary Beth loved her three grandchildren dearly and would travel to Texas often to spend time with them. She was adored by all who knew her, and the light and love that she provided for her family and friends will be sorely missed.
Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Rodack and her brothers Thomas, Edmond, and Daniel.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Schillo and Kristina Schillo; grandchildren Lance, Kathryn and Sean Schillo; sister Eileen Krcma and brother Richard Rodack, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service plans will be announced at a later date.
