Mary Shanahan Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Shanahan, 91, formerly of Bentleyville, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, in Premiere Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born October 29, 1930, in Osceola Mills, a daughter of the late Eleanor Foerder.

Mary graduated from high school in 1948 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had been previously employed as a billing clerk.

Mrs. Shanahan was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.

Surviving are her sister-in-law, Shirley Kadash of Bentleyville; two nieces, Deb Pompermeyer (Roger) of Finleyville, and Yvonne Ruffing (Steve) of Virginia; a nephew, John Kadash (Kim) of Bentleyville; great-nieces and nephews, Justin McKeta, Jim Fidazzo, April Kadash and Zachary Kadash.

Deceased is a brother, John Kadash.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, October 5, in Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, with Fr. Don Chortos officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
