Janis A. Budner

Janis A. Budner, 78, of Carmichaels, formerly of Richeyville, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the Uniontown Hopital - WVU Medicine, Uniontown. She was born April 5, 1947 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Raymond and Marion Kramer Rudolph. Janis worked for many years at Giant Eagle in Bentleyville as a deli clerk. Her life's work was helping operate, with her family, an award winning dairy farm in Washington County. She was a cub master with the local pack in the California area for many years during the '90s. Janis enjoyed baking and gardening in her "free time". She, along with her husband, were members of the American Antique Club of America, Ford Retractable Club, Buick Club of America and the Oldsmobile Club. She married William J. Budner, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Sherri Shorts (Michael) of Richeyville, John Michael Budner of Bentleyville and George Michael Budner of Carmichaels; four grandchildren, Christopher and Katelynn Budner, and James and Robert Hrabovsky; a sister, Carolyn Schreiber (Robert); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a son, John Raymond Hrabovsky. Family and friends were welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home, Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, Paul M. Lesako, funeral director / owner and Aaron S. Walker, funeral director. Visitation continues in the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 12 noon Wednesday, April 1. Interment will be private.
