XENIA — Mary Sherman, born on November 21, 1943, in Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. She is remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family and her genuine passion for life. Mary dedicated over 25 years to her role as an office administrator for friends of the family, embodying a strong work ethic and loyalty that touched those around her. She was also a devout Christian. Mary's love for animals, particularly her cherished cats, was a testament to her nurturing spirit. She delighted in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by them forever. She is survived by her son, Michael Sherman, along with his three children: granddaughters Rachel Sherman and Arianna Sherman, and grandson Alexander Sherman. Her legacy continues through her daughters, Annette Zapf and her husband Larry, and Tammy Ayers and her husband Terry. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Shannon Zapf and her husband Shane, Patrick Ayers and his wife Jessica, Tiffany Adkins and her husband Aaron, as well as her great-grandchildren: Aleah Zapf, Marilyn Ayers, Riley Ayers, Wyatt Adkins, Hailey Walton, Sophia Adkins, and Easton Chambers. Mary will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Nancy Bernesser and Teresa McCabe. Mary was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Frederick Sherman, her father Edward Kaiser, and her mother Caroline Kaiser. Her family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate her life and memory during the visitation on July 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM, held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville, located at 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Dayton, OH 45459. Mary will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville. Mary Sherman leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
