Mary Siniff

1929 - 2024

LIMA -- Mary "Ruth" Siniff, age 95, passed away on September 27, 2024, at 12:46 pm, at her residence surrounded by her family. Ruth was born August 6, 1929, in Putnam County, to the late Albert and Mabel (Colwell) Roberts. On September 22, 1951, she married James R. Siniff who preceded her in death on February 5, 2010.

Ruth is survived by her son, Richard Siniff of Largo, FL, grandchildren: Sherri Siniff, Sally Morey, Stacy (Mike) Kauppila and Tom (Alyssa) Siniff all of Lima, OH, great grandchildren: Jaxson Morey, Kellan Stevick, Hank Siniff, Bradley Kauppila and Wyatt Siniff. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas (Mary) Siniff, a brother, Glen Roberts and a sister, Helen John.

Ruth had worked as a cafeteria worker with Lima City Schools for more than 20 years, retiring in 1989. In her younger years, she and her husband enjoyed traveling, camping and dancing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and an occasional High-Ball.

There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Pike Run Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 11:00am until 12:30pm at the Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the those that cared for Ruth during this past year: Deijah, Alyvia, Jalyn, Shonda, Veronica, Heather, Amour and Shelly.
