Mary Kathleen Smith

Kathy Smith passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the age of 71 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Dennis (Joan) Smith, of Cardston, AB, Geneva (Chris) Massey, of Edmonton, AB, Bea (Clayne) Steed, of Raymond, AB, and Don (Jann) Smith, of Cardston, AB; sister-in-law Fay Smith, of Edmonton, AB; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jeff Smith, parents Gib & Lila Smith and brother Gardiner Smith.

Kathy was born in Cardston, AB and raised on the family farm, at Woolford. After finishing school, she moved to Calgary where she met and married the love of her life Jeff Smith. They were married and Calgary has been their home ever since. Kathy was a paralegal and had a very long career with several different law firms in Calgary. Jeff and Kathy loved dogs and always had a dog. She enjoyed cross stitch, cooking, baking and traveling, but most of all spending time with all of her family and friends.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Kathy, and her love of dogs, to the Calgary Humane Society (www.calgaryhumane.ca).
