Mary E. Smith, age 84 of Dandridge, passed away peacefully at her home on December 29, 2025.
She spent many years working at Magnavox in Jefferson City; but she will be best remembered as a loving mother & grandmother - who happened to make the best biscuits and gravy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl R. Smith; children, Burl Allen Smith & Sherrie Floyd; grandson, Mark Floyd; parents, John & Ethel Gann; several siblings; and her beloved canine buddy, Daffanee. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Hank) Williams; son-in-law, Ronnie Floyd; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to extend special thanks to those who assisted with her care over the past several years; including, but not limited to Jayden, Cadence, & Hank, Jr., Payton, & Brittnea.
A visitation will take place from 12 Noon to 1:30PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Interment will follow at 2PM in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Floyd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the children of animal charity of your choice.
