Mary L. Spadafora

Mary L. (Puzzanghera) Spadafora of Stoneham, formerly of Melrose passed way peacefully on April 20, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born August 31,1930 in the West End in Boston.
Mary was the beloved and devoted wife of the Late Louis Spadafora Jr. Loving and dedicated step- mother to Louis Spadafora III and his wife Betty, Sandra Spadafora, James Spadafora and his wife Elizabeth. Cherished grandmother (Nana) to Louis Spadafora IV, the late Andrew Brown, Joshua Spadafora, Emily Spadafora and Jacob Spadafora. She was the great grandmother to Christopher, Sydnie, Jameson, Jeremy, Declan, Harper, Madelyn and Benjamin and great- great grandmother to Lena.
Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Peter Puzzanghera and Charles Puzzanghera and is survived by her sister Pauline DiMuzio and her husband Edward as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mary graduated from Girls High School of Boston and worked for many years at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge as a secretary in the Physical Therapy Dept. until her retirement. Mary loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed music, dancing and singing as well as playing cribbage, card games and playing slot machines.
Mary will be forever loved, dearly missed and always remembered.
Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 4:00-8:00PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose. Interment to follow the mass at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
