Mary Stack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation - University Chapel on Feb. 16, 2026.
Mary Stack went home to be with our Lord on February 6, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Brian Stack and endearing aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born in Burlington, Iowa and raised in Omaha, Nebraska where she met her husband, Brian. They dated, married, and spent 33 years together.

Mary worked in the insurance industry for many years. She was known for her helpful and friendly disposition along with her organizational skills.

Most notably, Mary was known for her love of family and others. Her attention to each person individually was admirable as she was always thinking of others. She received great joy from her family.

The most important thing was her love of Jesus Christ as her Savior. The Lord helped her in many ways throughout some of the hardships she faced. Perhaps the most notable Bible verse she loved was in the Book of Philippians, specifically Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (KJV).

Survivors include her husband, Brian, and members of his family, niece Liz, her aunt Jane, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul, Leah, and Paul Jr, respectively, and her brother-in-law Steve.

In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly asked to honor Mary's memory by making a donation to Arizona Humane Society. Donations can be made online at azhumane.org/memorial-tribute-gifts or mailed to:
