MARY ANN (MAZOUREK) STEIN, 90, passed away on December 28, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Born in Newfield, NY on March 30,1935, in her childhood home, she was the oldest daughter of the late Rudolf and Mary (Bednar) Mazourek and had seven other siblings.

Mary Ann married Curt Stein of Reading, PA on June 10,1962 with whom she shared 43 years of marriage before he passed away in 2005.

She was predeceased by one sister, Alice Masucci ; three brothers, Rudolf Mazourek Jr., Louis Mazourek, and William (Laddie) Mazourek; two nephews, Gary Musucci and Rudolf Mazourek III.

Loved ones left behind include a son, Kevin Stein and his wife Kristen; a daughter, Helen (Stein) Cail and her husband Scott; three grandsons, Ryan Stein and wife Sarah; Trey Stein and wife Ayiana; and Matthew Kelly; a sister, Janet Hansen; two brothers, Robert Mazourek and wife Liz, and Richard Mazourek and wife Nancy; sisters-in-law, Gail Mazourek, Delores Mazourek, Dee Mazourek; brother-in-law, Don Masucci and several nieces and nephews.

She was only 4 years old when she started first grade and graduated at 17 years old from Newfield Central High School in 1952, and in 1956 she received her B.S. in Nursing from Alfred University in Alfred, NY. Over the years she worked at numerous hospitals to further her career in nursing - Syracuse Memorial Hospital in NY, Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, MA, Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA, and Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She met Curt Stein while working at Reading Hospital and after their marriage and birth of son Kevin in 1966, they moved to Nashua, NH where she worked at St Joseph Hospital in Obstetrics and as an instructor at the School of Practical Nursing at St Joseph Hospital.

Due to medical reasons, Mary Ann had to quit working as a nurse, a profession she loved. She became a homemaker and later adopted a daughter, Helen in 1980. While raising her children, she was able to maintain her nursing license by becoming a substitute nurse in the Nashua School District.

Mary Ann was a longtime member of Christian Bible Church in Nashua, NH. She was President of the Women's Ministries Association and taught young girls in the Missionettes Program. She was also very involved in the Missionary program and would correspond with the missionaries all over the world.

Her other interests were gardening and canning, watching the Celtics play, crossword puzzles and making crafts to sell at various craft fairs. But her favorite thing was to return to her childhood home to visit her family at Mazourek Farms and help out anyway she could. Spending time with her family was always her priority and greatest love of all.

In remembrance of Mary Ann, we are asking that in lieu of flowers, to make a Memorial donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Murphy Funeral Home in Chagrin Falls, OH with a viewing from 3-4 p.m. and service at 4 p.m. There will be a reception following the service at the home of Kevin and Kristen Stein. In the spring, Farwell Funeral Service in Nashua, NH will have a graveside service at Edgewood Cemetery where we will say our final goodbyes and lay her to rest.
