She was only 4 years old when she started first grade and graduated at 17 years old from Newfield Central High School in 1952, and in 1956 she received her B.S. in Nursing from Alfred University in Alfred, NY. Over the years she worked at numerous hospitals to further her career in nursing - Syracuse Memorial Hospital in NY, Boston Children's Hospital in
Boston, MA, Upstate Medical Center in
Syracuse, NY, Reading Hospital in
West Reading, PA, and Lankenau Hospital in
Philadelphia, PA. She met Curt Stein while working at Reading Hospital and after their marriage and birth of son Kevin in 1966, they moved to

Due to medical reasons, Mary Ann had to quit working as a nurse, a profession she loved. She became a homemaker and later adopted a daughter, Helen in 1980. While raising her children, she was able to maintain her nursing license by becoming a substitute nurse in the Nashua School District.
Mary Ann was a longtime member of Christian Bible Church in
Nashua, NH. She was President of the Women's Ministries Association and taught young girls in the Missionettes Program. She was also very involved in the Missionary program and would correspond with the missionaries all over the world.
Her other interests were gardening and canning, watching the Celtics play, crossword puzzles and making crafts to sell at various craft fairs. But her favorite thing was to return to her childhood home to visit her family at Mazourek Farms and help out anyway she could. Spending time with her family was always her priority and greatest love of all.
In remembrance of Mary Ann, we are asking that in lieu of flowers, to make a Memorial donation in her name to the
