Daniel Victor Lipnicki

DANIEL VICTOR LIPNICKI, age 80, of Chagrin Falls, died peacefully on February 9th, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. Born on January 9th, 1946 in Cleveland, he graduated from Cleveland State University in 1975 and went on to a lifelong career as a metallurgical engineer, never retiring. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Barbara (nee Gruhn); daughters, Kristin Kvaka (Chris) and Lauren Vachon; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Felicity), Philip, and Timothy (Karen); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and his cat, Max; and predeceased by his parents, Nellie and Victor and his siblings, Margaret and Warren Michael. Known as "Boppa" to his loved ones, he will be remembered for his love of fishing, golfing, swimming, and gardening, and for his fortitude, wisdom, and humor. Family and friends were the most important part of his life. A celebration of life service will take place at Gleneagles Golf Club & Events, 2615 Glenwood Drive, Twinsburg on Friday, February 13th, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Audubon Society of Greater Cleveland. He will be dearly missed.
