Graveside Services for Mrs. Mary Cole Stewart, age 91 of Anniston, will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lineville City Cemetery with Pastor Tim Shultz officiating. There will be no public visitation prior to services.
Mrs. Stewart passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 at NHC Healthcare in Anniston. She was born in Clay County and was a Graduate of Lineville High School. She lived in Anniston for the majority of her life, working primarily for South Central Bell for most of her work career. Mrs. Stewart enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, and visiting with her friends and family. She loved to dabble in needlepoint and enjoyed watching cooking shows. Mrs. Stewart was described as an outgoing and caring woman, who was always willing to help her friends and family if they needed it. She was a dedicated Wife, Sister, and Aunt.
Mrs. Stewart was survived by one sister, Mildred C. Lee of Montgomery; her niece, Terri Hilyer (Bill Savage) of Pike Road; and one great-nephew, Cole Hilyer of Huntsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert M. and Claudine Hendrix Cole; her husband, James L. Stewart; his brother and sister in law, Carl W. and Faye Cole; and her brother in law, Harold Lee.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
