Mary Frances Stoudemayer, 73, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A graveside service to honor Mary’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 7th at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.
Mary was born on February 28, 1951, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was a beacon of kindness and compassion to all who knew her. She dedicated her days as a caregiver and found joy and fulfillment in helping others.
Mary loved the Lord and was a dedicated member of Independence Hill Baptist Church in Huntersville. Her devotion was seen in her family, as she lovingly shared 44 years as a devoted wife to Robert and she displayed unwavering love as a mother to their daughter Kimberly.
Mary had an immense love for all creatures great and small, animals certainly held a special place in her heart. She appreciated the beauty of flowers, always delighting in their vibrant hues and pleasant scents.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Robert David Stoudemayer; her daughter, Kimberly Woods Kennedy; siblings, Rose Weaver Phillips of Granite Falls, NC, and Oren Helms of Maiden, NC; dear friend, Calvin Garner of Granite Falls, NC; several nieces and nephews; and her cuddly cat, Priscilla.
Preceding her in death were her foster parents, Howard and Geneva Weaver; maternal parents, Luke and Virginia Canipe; and brother, Walter W. Weaver Sr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carteret County Humane Society, 853 Hibbs Rd., Newport, NC 28570.
