Mary Anita Stringer

STRINGER
Mary Anita Stringer passed away at home on September 4, 2023, surrounded by family. Anita was born on November 4, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, where she graduated from Evarts High School in 1960. She was the daughter of Myrtle Lois (Shirley) and Walter Hillary Stepchuck.
Anita was a volunteer as well as an employee at Madison County Hospital for many years. She was also an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling and going places with her Senior Center friends. She was also a big Reds fan and loved her Buckeyes, Bengals, and Kentucky Wildcats basketball.
Left to mourn her loss are her daughters Lois Larkins, Melissa (Heath) Brewer, and Niki (Sean) Lee. Also survived are grandchildren Zach Larkins and Maria Carr, great-granddaughters Leilyn, Nova, Mazi, Dolly, and Morgan, brother-in-law Howard Hawkins, sisters-in law Sandra Boucher and Joan Buehler, many nieces, nephews, friends, and her faithful fur baby Whitey.
In addition to her mother and father, Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Pete Stringer, and her twin sister Shirley Hawkins.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Kaehr and to Loving Care Hospice. At Anita's request, there will be no service. If you wish, memorials in her memory may be made to the Madison County Humane Society, 2020 State Route 142 NE, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.
