Mary Catherine Theis, age 71 passed away on November16, 2024 in Yuma, AZ. Mary was born in Kansas City, Mo on July 22, 1953 to John and Ellen Paynter.
She graduated from Paseo High School and moved to California right after graduation where she worked as a bank teller. Then she married and had Christopher and Marie Trickey. As a single parent she moved around until she eventually met the love of her life Mark Theis. After 20+ years in California, they moved to Yuma, Az where she worked at Yuma County courthouse until she retired. They were married for 39+ years and had an ongoing battle during football games as Mark was an avid 49er's fan and Mary loved her KC Chiefs. They were also dedicated supporters of the Yuma rodeo where they volunteered every year helping to raise money. Mary is survived by her son Christopher Trickey. She was proceeded in death by her husband Mark Theis and her daughter Catherine Marie Trickey.
There will be graveside services only at Wayside Cemetery located in Brandsville, Mo on December 10, 2024 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal rescue shelter in memory of Mary Catherine
