Mary Margaret "Peggy" THIBDEAU

Mary Margaret “Peggy” Thibdeau, 79, formerly of Wellsville, died on February 24, 2023 after a short but devastating battle with a very aggressive brain cancer, Glioblastoma. She was born October 23, 1943, in Wellsville, NY, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Nagle) Kreydt. On February 27, 1965, she married John Edward Thibdeau, who predeceased her on October 15, 2012.

Peggy graduated from Immaculate Conception School in 1957 and from Wellsville High School in 1961, she continued her education at Cazenovia College, graduating in 1963. With John, she owned and operated numerous businesses including both the Village Athlete in Wellsville, and later Minute Man Press in South Carolina. Upon many talents and accomplishments, she worked as a middle school secretary.

At the time of her passing, she was survived by: two children, Lauren and Christopher; 6 grandchildren, Ivy, Ziah, Tristan, Taryn, Liam and Albert Rocco; and brother, James Kreydt. In addition to her husband of 47 years, John, she was predeceased by a daughter, Suzanne Thibdeau.

Friends are invited to a Graveside Service for Peggy & John, and their daughter, Suzanne, on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11 am in Sacred Heart Cemetery of Wellsville, 276 South Main Street.
