Robert Thibdeau Obituary
Mr Thibdeau was born in Westerly, RI on October 3, 1942, the son of the late Jesse and Frances (Doherty) Thibdeau. Robert was a police officer (LT) for the Town of Stonington and after his service to the town, he became a teacher's assistant for the Westerly School Department.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 10:00 am. There are no calling hours. Burial will take place after the Mass at Stonington Cemetery, 345 North Main Street, Stonington. Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly. For online condolences, please go to www.rushlowiacoifuneralhome.com.

I knew Bob through our high school days at SHS followed by his Lt police days in Stonington. My dad, Jim McKenna, was a police commissioner during those years & always impressed with Lt Thibdeau´s dedication to our town. He will be missed.

I remember Bob from growing up in Pawcatuck and seeing him as a police officer for the town of Stonington. A quiet man, great athlete and asset to the community. May He Rest In Peace with The Lord.

I will forever be grateful for Bob and Judy and their care of my son from 9 months old to 2-1/2 years old. They were an inspiration and huge help to me as a single parent and to my son as a positive influence in his life. Judy, I always felt Bob was larger than life. You 2 meant so very much to me! Bob and Judy were such a positive influence on me as I navigated being a young wife and mother of two little girls. We camped together, played cards, and spent many times making soupy. They were true friends to me in good and bad times. Bob was a good, honorable man who loved his family and friends alike. He will always live in my heart. Love to you Judy, Lauri and Bobby.
