MaryAnn (Jordan) Torrey, 81 of Ceresco, Mich., passed away October 2, 2023, at her home unexpectedly.

MaryAnn was born January 25, 1942, in Battle Creek, Mich. She was the daughter of Albert and Mary (Elko) Jordan. She went to Harper Creek and graduated in 1960. She worked at Ryan's Family Steakhouse for many years. She enjoyed listening to The Eagles, playing number crunch, being a devoted mother, reading the newspaper, and taking care of her home.

However, there is nothing she treasured more than spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, where she gained the nicknames, grandma-grandma and mom. Anyone who knew her would say she left an everlasting impression in their hearts.

MaryAnn will be remembered for her warm, loving personality, free sprit, and selflessness.

MaryAnn is survived by her daughter, Marie (Mikel) Miller of Battle Creek; a son, John Torrey Il of Ceresco; two brothers, Joe and James (Betty) Jordan; grandchildren, Bradley Miller, Ashlee Russell, Elizabeth (Colten) Eishen, and Hanna (Auston) Cary; great-grandchildren, Avery Miller, Mila and Brayden Russell, MacKenzie Marshall, and Kinsley Cary.

MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Billy, Albert, and John Jordan; and sister Helen Jordan.

Friends are invited to join MaryAnn's family to celebrate her life on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. The Visitation will take place from noon-1pm, at Richard A. Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 703 Capital Ave., S.W., Battle Creek, Mich., 49015. Funeral service will be held at 1pm at the Funeral home.
