Mary Beth Travers, 72, of Taylor, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025.
Mary Beth was born on December 7, 1953, in Tyler, Texas, to Elmer Hershell and Ella (Maines) Corbitt. A proud graduate of Conroe High School in 1972, Mary went on to build a life full of love, adventure, and devotion to her family. She married her soulmate, Ty William Travers, on February 17, 1999, and together they raised three children: Rachel, Krystel, and William.
A passionate lover of the outdoors, Mary found joy in hunting, gardening, and tending to her lawn. In her free time, she and Ty enjoyed spending hours together at the gun range and at their hunting lease, sharing a bond strengthened by their shared interests. Mary was also a devoted animal lover, and her home was always filled with the lively presence of her four dogs and two birds, whom she cherished deeply.
Throughout their life together, Mary demonstrated incredible strength and dedication, especially during Ty's military service. Whenever he was away, she took pride tending to their home, making sure everything was in order.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Carpenter. She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Ty; her children, Rachel Ringo, Krystel Van Amburgh, and William Travers; her cherished grandchildren, Colt and Cash Habiger; her sister, Patsy Neeley; her brother, James Corbitt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
