Mary Ann Trifari (nee Gallagher) of Kaysville, Utah, passed away at the age of 78 on April 3, 2022. Mary Ann was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Edward in 1982. She is survived by beloved daughters Victoria (David Lonergan) of New Rochelle, NY and Renee Baldwin (Ryan) of Kaysville. Also surviving are grandchildren Nicholas Capalbo, Alaina Freitas, Emily Baldwin and Ava Baldwin. In addition, she is survived by siblings James (Madeline), Kathleen Duffy (James), Nancy Rappa, Regina Frustaglio (John), Michael (Nancy) and Margaret Chatziioannou (Dimitri). Mary Ann has many nieces and nephews that grieve her loss as well.
In addition to owning and operating a gas station, Mary Ann and Ed's passion for boating prompted them to live aboard their yacht and eventually start a chartering business during the late '70s through the early '80s.
Mary Ann was a long-time resident of New Rochelle and worked at the Guidance Center for 30 years to support her girls, even during her battle with cancer in 2006. She raised her daughters to be strong, independent women like herself. She was a fighter but fair, did not suffer fools but enjoyed a good laugh and you always - always knew where you stood with her.
She was an avid reader who always managed to have a book with her. She enjoyed browsing museums and art galleries and going to Broadway shows and concerts. Most of all, she loved her vacations with family and friends on Cape Cod and traveling abroad.
Mary Ann's retirement brought her to Utah where she was able to join her daughter and grandchildren. It was at the Bountiful Rec Center where she found her new love for water aerobics, Tai Chi and gossip. She left her mark and maybe a few crumbs wherever she went. May she Rest Peacefully with those who left before her and Biscotti her beloved overweight Chihuahua who left with her. She will be missed by us all.
