Mary Ruth Hill Tuttle, 92, of Hendersonville died on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Born in
Mayodan, NC, she was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Addie Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jack Tuttle; sons Robert Jack Tuttle and Paul Anthony "Tony" Tuttle; daughter, Linda Parris Tuttle; two sisters, Mattie Sue Lemons and Nellie Manning; and three brothers, William Hill, Joseph Hill and Johnny "Juke" Hill.
Ruth was a supervisor for Ruth of Carolina and Bon Worth Manufacturing until 1992, when she and her daughters opened Ruth's Alterations. They had many wonderful customers and friends over the years. She was a member of Edneyville United Methodist Church, where she was blessed with many close friends, whom she loved dearly and enjoyed making fried apple pies for.
A devoted mother and wife, Ruth loved her family. In her own words, they made her life worth living. She loved her husband, Bobby Jack, with all her heart for 70 years. They loved dancing and singing together! He would always sing her a special song for her birthday and their anniversary.
Mrs. Tuttle leaves behind daughters, Nancy Jo Tuttle and Teresa Faye Riddle and her husband, Danny; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at three o'clock on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Edneyville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
