Daughter of Sam and Josephine Maccagnone, sister of Grace Cavataio (Isadore), Katie Giambrone (Phil), Jim (Biffo), Tony, Antoinette Daleo (Carl), and Josephine Catenacci (Tony) Beloved wife of Dino, Loving mother of Sam (deceased) (Linda), Paul, Ed (deceased), Doting Nona of Dana Vagnetti (Javier Cardenas), Sam Vagnetti, Nick Vagnetti (Deidre) and Dino Vagnetti (Tanya), adoring Great Nona of Liam and Vaughn Mowat, Dino, Luca, Vivian and Alexandra (Mae) Vagnetti.
Mary passed away in her cherished home of eighty years and leaves behind a legacy of survivorship, strength, family pride and heritage as well as loyalty and undeniable love for her family. Mary exuded glamour, perseverance and lived everyday with a youthful spirit and mindset that she spread to everyone she met along her journey of life. She is a true inspiration not only because she was blessed with a long, healthy life, but because of all that she endured and conquered from birth to death.
She was a magical gardener who could squeeze a tomato into the earth and create multiple tomato plants, a natural artist who could sketch a rose and make it bloom with a simple pencil, and an Italian cook who has not only filled many stomachs with her famous meatballs and sauce, but also many hearts.
Mary, Ma, Mae, Nona – will be missed always and forever.
