March 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi with the Rev. Bernard Duchesne officiating
Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until time of service.
Following services in Delhi Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Oakley Cemetery in Gilbert, LA.
Services will he held under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
Mary was a lifelong homemaker and native of Franklin Parish.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry Wilson Wafer Jr.; a son Harry Wilson Wafer III; her parents Miller Leroy Welch and Mollie Pearl LaBorde Welch and three siblings; Enoch Welch, Evelyn Lorraine Reppond and Lenora Bell Finley Bowman.
Mary is survived by a son James Roy Wafer and wife Maria of Eight Mile, AL; four grandchildren Adam, Joshua and Scott Wafer and Dr. Mary Rossi; four great grandchildren Bruce and Lydia Wafer and Mateo and Aiden Rossi and numerous nieces and nephews.
