Mary Alice Wejsa

Mary Alice Wejsa, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in Prescott, MI, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 27, 1937, in Bay City, MI to Edwin and Mary (Woods) Dean.

For over two decades, she dedicated herself to the field of homecare, providing loving support and care to her nephew, showcasing a nurturing side that left a lasting impact on her family. Mary was not just an exceptional caregiver; she was also a gifted artist and painter, whose vibrant works reflected her passion for life. Her creative endeavors enriched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Cooking and baking were among her favorite pastimes, and her family will fondly remember the delicious meals and treats that brought them together.

Mary will be deeply missed by her family, including her sons, Dean (Cheryl) Stratton and John (Rita) Wejsa; her daughter, Cindy Naugle; and her legacy of love continues through her 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She reunites now with her parents, beloved husband, John, and her son, Dan Stratton, her brother, Sunny Dean, and her sister, Pearl Abernathy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
