Marion Mary Gail Callahan White Mary Gail Callahan White, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at First United Methodist Church in Marion. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Church. The service will be streamed live on the Richardson Funeral Home (Marion, SC) Facebook page for those unable to attend. Mrs. White was born in Marion, SC a daughter of the late Burton and Bessie Bartley Callahan. Mary Gail was a Marion High School graduate, having played both softball and basketball, winning over 100 basketball games in her high school career. She enjoyed water sports, gardening, bridge club, shagging and traveling with friends. Mrs. White was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Marion. For many years she was the Office Manager for both White's Printing and the Marion County Shopper. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Roy White of the home; daughter Carla Talley and her husband, Eddie; son Lee White and his wife, Wendy; brother, Bobby Callahan; sister, June Callahan Richardson; grandchildren: Matt Talley and his wife, Laura, Wesley Talley and his wife Emily, Graham Talley and his wife, Anna, Rylee Fowler and her husband, Reagan, Drew Talley, and Leevi White; great-grandchildren: Anne Thomas Talley, Margaret Riser Talley, John Matthew Talley, and Samual Wesley Talley. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 155 Marion, SC 29571, Pee Dee Academy, PO Box 449 Mullins, SC 29574, Wilson Hall School, 520 Wilson Hall Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
