Mary Lou (Cox) Woods-age 85 of Knoxville. We are saddened to announce the passing of our Mom and Mamaw Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at NHC Ft. Sanders. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Greal H. Woods; parents, Cillis and Ollie Brantley Cox; siblings, Ruth (Paul) Nelson, Ann (Lewis) Sharp, Clondo (Gaynell) Cox, babies, Wayne and Jack Earl Cox, Bertha (Gene) Cupp, J.C. Cox, Raymond Cox; sister-in-law, Rhonda Cox.
She is survived by her son, Michael Woods; daughter, Kimberly Woods; grandchildren, Bradley and Jessica Woods, Alan Woods; siblings, Rachel Duncan, Linda (Michael) Bowman, Howard (Paulette) Cox, Steven "Pete" Cox; sisters-in-law, Betty Wood, Anna Cox and many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Jason Muncey and Rev. Justin McBee officiating, music by Betsy Thomas and Earl "Shorty" Wood. Interment 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 7, 2025, at Miller Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 12:00 p.m. Saturday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Bradley Woods, Mark Cupp, Mickey Woods, Justin Cox, Lance Cox, Tom Cupp. Honorary pallbearers Alan Woods, Michael Woods. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
