Mary Elizabeth Woolsey, daughter of Robert E. Woolsey, Sr. and Elizabeth Woolsey, passed away on October 17, 2024, in Lodi, California.
Mary was born in Modesto, California on July 21, 1939, and spent her childhood in Ione, California attending elementary school and high school in Ione, graduating with the class of 1957.
She went on to UC Davis to study nutrition and later earned her master's degree at Kansas State. She was in the food processing business in Stockton, California until her retirement.
Mary loved the outdoors, enjoying her garden, and playing tennis and golf, making a hole in one at a course in Stockton.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Robert E. Woolsey, Jr. and David Woolsey.
Mary is survived by her nephew, Robert Woolsey, her two nieces, Deborah Nunes and Lisa Smith, and her sister-in-law Carol Woolsey, together with her great nieces and great nephews Brad Neshem, Amber Neshem, Tony Nunes, Michelle Smith, Kayla Heissenbuttel, Kimberly Bell, Kristina Woolsey, Robbie Woolsey, together with Nicole Armstrong and Kristin Himmelmann.
The family would like to thank Vienna Nursing & Rehab center for their excellent care for the past year and a half.
There will be a private family service held at Ione City Cemetery. Contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
